Nügo Launches in Ireland, Bringing 100 New Jobs to the Delivery Sector

A new heavyweight collection and delivery service, Nügo, is set to generate 100 new job opportunities. Nügo specializes in moving bulky items, such as furniture, white goods, DIY products, electronics, and other items weighing over 30kg, catering to businesses across the Republic of Ireland. This enterprise operates as a subsidiary within the newly established Nuvion group, which also encompasses Fastway and Parcel Connect.

An initial investment of €10 million is earmarked for the business, with ambitious plans to expand its revenue to over €15 million within the next three years.

Liam Hennessy, the Managing Director of Nugo, explained, "Through extensive market analysis, we pinpointed critical gaps within the heavyweight delivery sector. Coupled with the exponential surge in e-commerce, Irish enterprises recognize the unprecedented surge in demand for home delivery of big-ticket items, calling for more tailored and seamless delivery solutions."

Nügo will provide its services throughout the Republic of Ireland, with central depots strategically located in Dublin, Kilkenny, Limerick, Cork, Galway, Laois, Wexford, and Sligo. Notably, the company has already secured partnerships with prominent retailers, including Very, Oxendales, and Woodies.

In addition to offering track and trace features and a delivery notification system, Nügo is committed to ensuring traceability in the licensed disposal of electrical equipment, as mandated by the WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) program.
